Understanding Fees
"Bitcoin transaction fees are dynamic. They are determined by the size and complexity of your transaction, not the amount of BTC you send."
What is a Sat/vB?
Bitcoin fees are measured in Satoshis per virtual byte. Unlike bank transfers where fees depend on the amount, Bitcoin fees depend on the "weight" or data size of your transaction.
The Mempool
The mempool is a waiting area for all pending transactions. Miners look through this "pool" and pick transactions with the highest fees to be included in the next block.
Confirmations
Once a miner includes your transaction in a block, it has one "confirmation." As more blocks are added on top, your transaction becomes progressively more irreversible.

Our simulator uses live data from the real Bitcoin network. The estimations you see here are accurate to the current state of the mempool.
